For couples who value connection over crowd size, a micro wedding offers something rare: enough time to be present with every guest. The key is choosing a venue and package created specifically for an intimate celebration—not simply shrinking a traditional wedding plan.
What is a micro wedding?
A micro wedding is a complete wedding celebration with a deliberately smaller guest list, commonly somewhere between 10 and 50 people. It can still include a ceremony, cocktails, a catered meal, photography, music, cake and dancing. The difference is intimacy: fewer guests, more meaningful time together and greater freedom to focus the budget on the experience.
At Eterna: Our $5,999 micro-wedding experience includes up to 30 guests. Celebrations of 31–40 guests may be possible depending on the layout and date, with additional catering costs and a custom quote.
Why couples choose a smaller celebration
A shorter guest list often creates a calmer, more personal day. Couples can greet everyone, enjoy their meal and spend less of the celebration managing a large crowd. Intimate weddings can also make distinctive food, thoughtful details and professional photography possible within a more manageable overall budget.
Smaller does not have to mean informal or unfinished. A micro wedding feels special when the spaces are properly scaled, the essential services are included and the timeline gives the day room to unfold.
What should a micro-wedding package include?
Every venue defines “all-inclusive” differently. Before comparing prices, ask for a written list covering the guest limit, ceremony and reception spaces, food, tables, chairs, linens, photography, entertainment, setup, staffing and any mandatory fees. Confirm which services are included and which must still be booked separately.
Eterna’s $5,999 package includes: a celebration for up to 30 guests; indoor dining and a sweetheart-table setting; a furnished upstairs cocktail lounge; private bar and gathering areas; tables, white linens and Chiavari chairs; a music system; professional photography; a photo booth; and an Italian-inspired catered meal.
An Italian-inspired meal is part of the celebration
Food has a way of bringing a small group even closer. Eterna’s micro-wedding package includes a catered meal with Italian flair: couples may choose a pasta meal or fire-grilled pizza. Catering is provided by Jose Martinez, chef and owner of C2 Catered Events.
Because the meal is already included for up to 30 guests, couples can compare the package with alternatives more accurately. For 31–40 guests, additional catering costs are quoted based on the celebration.
Photography and the photo booth are already handled
Professional photography matters just as much at a 30-person celebration as it does at a 200-person wedding. CMP Photography, led by Christina “Christy” Peeler, provides the professional photography and guest photo-booth experience included with Eterna’s micro-wedding package.
Ask any venue exactly how many hours of coverage are included, what deliverables are provided and whether upgrades are available. Those details should always be confirmed in the final agreement.
Watch for service charges and unclear starting prices
A venue’s advertised price is not always the final venue cost. Ask whether a percentage-based service charge, administrative fee, required gratuity or mandatory rental package will be added. At Eterna: We do not add a percentage-based venue service charge. A $500 refundable deposit reserves an available date, and flexible monthly payment options are available. Complete payment and refund terms are included in the agreement.
Choose spaces that feel right with your guest count
A room built for hundreds can make an intimate wedding feel empty. Look for connected spaces that encourage guests to gather naturally and still give the day distinct chapters. Consider where everyone will get ready, exchange vows, enjoy cocktails, dine and take photographs.
